It is a hardcover alphabet book of the typical style. Each page is dedicated to a letter. Every letter has a short little rhyme that might help your child remember the letters in relation to a biblical concept. The illustrations are soft and pretty. The text flows nicely. At the bottom of each page, you’ll find a scripture verse from the King James Bible. It’s an excellent way to teach scripture and letters together.
The book is nicely sized with a sturdy cover. The pages are made of a glossy paper. Overall the book should hold up well to many readings.
Let me share with you some text from a few pages.
A is for ANTSThough weak and small in size,They gather food all summer.May God make us as wise.“There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise: the ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer” Prov. 30:24-25F is for FaithA mighty gift of grace; As little as a mustard seedWill move a mountains place!“If ye have faith as a grain of a mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain. Remove hence to yonder place: and it shall remove, and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Matthew 17:20M is for MoonA natural law of light.TO show God keeps his promises,It shines on time each night. Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon of the stars for the light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar… if those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Isreal also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever: – Jeremian 31: 35-36
